The purpose of the Sausalito Youth Sailing Foundation is to support all charitable activities, including education of on-the-water boating activities, safety, and ameteur competition. In keeping with our mission statement to support youth sailing activities the SYSF has supported the following:
In 2009 we donated $28,506 supporting youth sailing. Donations included 10 full scholarships for participants in the SYCYSP, 2 partial scholarships to the Tamalpais High School Sailing program, supported the Tall Ship Education program, purchased several sail training boats and provided funding for improvements to the STC facilities supporting the Youth Sailing Program.
Since our founding in 1997 we have donated more than $75,000 in support of youth sailing activities as described in our 2009 funding summary. 98% of funds received go directly to programs per our mission. All management is volunteer. |
